| Galv. tin (Sn) | > 15 μm | > 15 μm | soft | Very good resistance in a humid environment. The soft surface also protects against mech. effects. |
| Galv. zinc (Zn) | > 10 μm | < 200° C | very hard | Very good resistance in a humid environment. WIth small magnets, loss of magnetic flux due to magnet. short- circuit of approx. 5%. |
| Galv. tin on nickel (Ni + Sn) | Ni > 5 μm + Sn > 10 μm |
		< 150° C | soft | Excellent resistance in a humid environment. Suitable for clean rooms. |
| Galv. gold on nickel (Ni + Au) | Ni 10 - 15 μm + Au > 1 μm |
		< 200° C | medium | Excellent resistance in a humid environment. Suitable for clean rooms. |
Epoxy spray black |
		10 - 15 μm | < 180° C | medium | Very good resistance in a humid environment. |

| Parylene polymer coating | 0.1 - 50 μm | < 220° C | soft | Pore-free, even including on the edges. Clear film. Maximum corrosion protection including against saltwater. |
Plastic-coated NdFeB magnets (IBS material - NeoAlphaMagnet) can be given an epoxy resin deposit coating. The coating thickness is 10 - 20 µm. The colour is pale grey or black. This surface coating has good friction resistance and is resistant in a humid environment, to weak acids and to alkaline media, and especially to salt solutions. Usage temperature approx. + 100° C.
As a new innovation we are now able to to manufacture magnets to customer dimensions made from a NdFeB material with high corrosion resistance.
Our standard magnets made from NdFeB (NeoDeltaMagnet) are all supplied with a galvanic surface protective coating (tin on nickel).
